this is what we do here

We had a mayor in Buffalo once who invited the spring of life protests here, but did have something smart to say about weather, if not politics.  During the blizzard of ’85, his advice to the populace was to “Stay inside, grab a sixpack and watch a good football game.”

RIP, Jimmy Griffin.  Your politics were debatable at best, but you did have some sound foul-weather advice.

About Susan L Daniels

I am a firm believer that politics are personal, that faith is expressed through action, and that life is something that must be loved and lived authentically--or why bother with any of it?

I went to the University there, lived off of the Elmwood strip and lived there for 13 years. I was there for the blizzard of 77-7 when we had 200 inches of snow fall.>KB
