nothing is sacred
anymore
except the most feelings

& those are caught between the teeth
of beasts we feed tears

& dragged, unspooling
what is our fine
in threads

a spiderwebbed trail
over & through
every(one)thing

About Susan L Daniels

i would argue everything is sacred, but then again it comes down to how we treat it…the middle section is quite intense and gives reason to sit up…i like the spiderweb trail to every(one)thing as well…i can read that as one or two seperate words.

  3. i like to think of the web of thread..beautiful tapestry too..
sometimes up close the web is loose in the breeze..
    but as tapestry flows..
    the puzzle laid full..
    is put together..
    with little pull and tug..
to make it work as ONE

  5. I’d like to think that just because this thread exist all is webbed together and thus sacred.. maybe the spider is sacred 🙂

the spiderwebbed trail is a cool image… and yeah…nothing is sacred except the most feelings… sometimes i think we live in a paradox world

Heya Susan – this kinda felt like a song I like and recognize, played through a filter of murk. Not sure that makes any sense, but as usual, you give me something to think about.

A couple jump to mind… but have you ever heard “To Our Knees” by Low? It’s on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eoTYrK04zaY

Very nicely done. Love your way with words, and this is especially well done.

  10. Barry says:

Well-crafted. It felt as if emotion itself spooled away, unwinding throughout your poem.
