March is not spring (micro)

March is not spring
promised in seed catalogs
other places

here, it is unbloomed, precrocus want

a softening, finally naked
and waiting

    March is not spring
    promised in seed catalogs
    other places…love these lines.

  3. claudia says:

over here she’s not so naked anymore…but yeah…the anticipation felt in every branch….

  4. Linda says:

“precrocus want” – I love that! And you’re right, it lies naked, waiting.

33 would be nice… nice description of March

  6. Mary says:

Oh, here it is waiting too. And I hear we will have more snow tonight. Sigh. I guess it will wait a while longer.

  7. lupitatucker says:

March really doesn’t promise anything but misery, it seems. I like your poem πŸ™‚

  8. March is really messing with us this year.

  9. The thaw, the thaw, the ugly, wet, waiting, naked thaw. Soon the emeralds will be dazzling you! Lovely write. Missed you!

  10. March is a decisive being. Determined. I think. *smile*

  11. shanyns says:

As I watch it snowing, AGAIN, I agree with your words. And love how much feeling you fit into the micropoetry form. Well done!

  14. MarinaSofia says:

It does sound wearisome – it’s been a crazy winter, upside-down season in most places. For us, it was too mild (and we live up in the mountains).

  15. March is a lovely month.. but no it’s not spring usually.. what’s so amazing to me is the return of daylight though… soon there will come the long light evenings … Nice to see you back in writing.

  16. March can be a bit of a challenge sometimes…. A lovely, thoughtful poem.

  17. Truedessa says:

and the March wind blows ..teasing with added daylight..I am ready for spring to arrive..

  18. Abhra Pal says:

True – March can be weird – it’s not spring here yet and quite fluctuations in weather really. Enjoyed the contrast you built.

  19. kkkkaty1 says:

tis the very beginning…March, the pioneer of all the months..
