a ninja goes to school today
minus the rainbow sword
so he won’t kill witches or werewolves
we save it for him to shake at ghosts
whispering in leaves tonight
& to slice shadows lighted pumpkins will throw

Really enjoying this age.
Fun for Halloween!
Georgia–I had to do something for this. For the last two weeks, I have been answering his question, “How many days until Halloween?”
This morning I said, “Today! You get to wear your costume!”
having so much fun with him this year!
Aw, I was a ninja two years ago, and I don’t know why I didn’t think of carrying a ninja sword! What a grand idea.
š that was the first thing he thought of, with his light-up sword. We had to go with it. I bet you made a very dashing ninja, yourself, even without the sword.
I had a pair of plastic si. . . how do you spell that? Tiny ninja swords with cool handles. You should have seen the geisha I was protecting. š
š one question–do you have any pics? I SO want to see them if you do!
Haha, I’ll have to dig and see. Not sure how much a certain attorney in costume will let me share online. lol
š let me know… Either way, sounds like a fun, fun, fun night.
Such important duty! May his night be a special one.
Thanks, Nelle. We plan on having fun–easier to do now that we know nobody will get blown away by scarier things even than pumpkins.
We don’t have Halloween in India … but I have heard a lot about it … have a great day š
Thanks so much!
oh YES, slicing shadows!!! have fun tonight!
We will! Thank you!
whispering in leaves.. I love this Susan. Brings me right back.
Thanks, Audra–heading out in half an hour!
Beautiful. This made me smile š
š thank you!
Nice one. I love the idea of a ninja in school.
š his plastic sword was awesome, and he was disappointed mom would not let him take it to school…
