a poem by Zoe L. Daniels
Darkness consumes me,
filling me with dark desire, it burns
like s fire.
A fire so intense
it singes my heart to ash, leaving love ashes.
Darkness consumes me,
filling me with thirst. It burns, for it
is love.
A love for Darkness
a love for the things at night
a love for the Darkness.
***Wow. She has me beat. At 12-1/2 I could not string sound together like that. Her love of paranormal fiction is shining through, I fear. Do I have a miniature A. Rice living with me?
“It sings my love to ash” is a great line! Well done Miss Daniels!
Thank you very much. I got the idea during Spanish, for some reason.
Zoe
Wow and only 12 1/2 a budding talent indeed
thx i rly apprict\iate it and i spelled it wrong i knoe
That was from the budding poet herself 😉
… leaving love ashes. wonderful.
My little girl scares me.
Well done Zoe! Well done
thx very much
Awesome and I love nothing more than to see budding writers willing to share their work – it takes a lot of guts. It took me until into my 30s to get brave enough 🙂
cool i am now starting to get in touch with my artistic side, but 30 is a good age too!
HOLY COW.. wow Zoe! You are amazing. I love “it singes my heart to ash, leaving love ashes”
Susan…. good job Mom
🙂 all I did was type it for her…she rocks.
and you ROCK by sharing your space with her. good mom stuff here Susan.
🙂 thanks, Audra. Had to. She came home all excited–saying–look what I wrote in Spanish, mom! 😉
she is a good writer.. good feeler. Smart kids
🙂 thanks–doubly blessed.
I like ‘Dark Love’ very much Zoe ~ great to see you on your mother’s blog 🙂
🙂 mom will pass that on!
Wow! Suzy Jr is a dark poet! She obviously has a lot of potential. I’m very impressed!
🙂 thanks, Soraya!
Like, lots… and could be!
🙂 time will tell. She is working on her first book, what she calls a “paranormal romance.”
Now, now now! A poet is born. Darkness that consumes, darkness that burns, darkness that fills with thirst – very strong in imagery, challenging us and making the reader sit up…and all this from a lass of 12 years! Great stuff, Zoe. Looking forward to more
my madre is making me post this… thank you very much for your kind words but alas I am a slow thinker therefore, I will not have another poem in a matter of weeks. Possibly idk
you are just being modest!
🙂 she is. I do not know many 12-year-olds that call themselves “slow thinkers” either–which she is not 😉
Beautiful!!
Thanks!
🙂
Darkness consumes me,
filling me with dark desire, it burns
like s fire.
A fire so intense
it singes my heart to ash, leaving love ashes.’ What searing imagery. Very intense and hot poem. Beautifully, Zoe. Well done, Mom, you should be on cloud nine. 🙂
Aw, thanks–I will tell her!
