this
deep shading
heavy
with singing crickets
and scents of summer
drying coriander
crushed under feet
though they walk gently
and I
whisper sing
of simple things
the ordinary
stretched across
the longing universe
resonating
and echoing it
and somehow
this voice
& the crickets calling blend
in a joined song
of metaphysics
and phenomenology
at once opposing, expanding
and complementing
one wholeness
This is beautiful
Oh, thank you! N–I just cleared out my drafts today, please forgive me if I am giving you eyestrain!
I am enjoying myself and sipping the nectar of these beautiful songs!
Oh, thanking you! If you are not totally blind yet, I would really like to know your thoughts on my long-winded one from this morning 😉
Susan I have to say that your poems make me want to write my own, but I don’t think I can do justice to the way you write them. Great stuff.
Oh my gosh, Trent, thanks! Aw, forget the way I write them and write them your way–I have to say I always enjoy your work!
“whisper sing of simple things”. I love when a poet can group words that make music together and remain able to say what they want to say.
thanks so much…does not happen that often for me 😉
one wholeness.. sigh . good one susan. You are on fire, as usual
Thanks, friend. Was actually simmering away in Drafts since August–found it there and liberated it 🙂
Yes, all connected, and so important for all of us to grasp. Well done.
Thanks much, Nelle!
Oh yes, beautifully done, Susan. One sweet moment invoking oneness.
Thank you, George.
the whisper singer is back. beautiful susan.
Thanks, Rhonda-this one was in drafts for a while 😉

Thank you. I cannot remember why this was in drafts, but there it was when I was cleaning up 😉 Glad you liked!

Celestine, thanks!
