I am a firm believer that politics are personal, that faith is expressed through action, and that life is something that must be loved and lived authentically--or why bother with any of it?
Yes, please! I love reading them and writing them too… It makes a change from reading rambling aimless writing. I love seeing how writers mange to condense meaning into as few words as possible!
Thank you, Susan. Really. Although there is something that strikes a bit too close to home in this prompt that I am loathe to explore. Even in verse. Despite the fact that writing has often been therapeutic for me. But the subject of loneliness just now is a bit too … overwhelming.
The personification of ‘curl’ really adds a mystic touch to the haiku.
And Sun will melt away: It’s amazing how you’ve used so many figures of speech in just 17 syllables. =)
I love Haikus! Thank you for writing this, it’s almost pretty. I like the juxtaposition of loneliness with the beauty of nature.
Thanks, S! Not sure about doing one a day for a month, but I am going to try…

You are most welcome, George. Tomorrow’s topic is “moon,” which would probably be a bit kinder one to start with.
“sun will melt away!!!”
amazingly crafted haiku!
oh, goodness, thanks!
Would that loneliness were as easy to melt away as applying sunshine!
Loneliness of Stars
I find that beauty melts away a lot of things.

Melting sun — now that’s new 🙂

A lovely image this, of mist in the valley. A nice, almsot cuddly form of loneliness, it feels to me!
I do like being alone–does not happen often in my life…LOL, imagine that–missing the feeling of lonely…

I love the feeling of this haiku from the beginning – “loneliness settles” Sometimes it does.

A fine one, Susan
Thanks, Celestine!
Such a lovely imagine! Reminds me of autumn mornings at the cottage – I can hear the cry of the loon through the foggy lake-shroud.
oh, thanks very much!
That is so pretty. I hope the sun melts away the loneliness along with the mist.
