Full strawberry moon

A day named this
on my calender
ought to be heady, sweet
round with the promise of summer
& growing things

Not this bitter harvest
of a seed pressed deep in new world dirt

but we must taste
what was already planted
no matter how poisonous
the fruit

About Susan L Daniels

I am a firm believer that politics are personal, that faith is expressed through action, and that life is something that must be loved and lived authentically--or why bother with any of it?

Well done. Well said. Short, and with decidedly describable taste.

Well articulated. There’s a challenge in this Susan, that we need to take up. Taste it indeed. Swallow it down. And the bad parts – shit em out, down a drain, never to be seen again. I hope.

It’s damn good to see you here, by the way. Can only imagine the thoughts swirling through your head these days.

Wow! Straight to the point as always…I miss reading new post from you. I can’t even write right now. Hopefully before too long. Hope to see more from you. Leo
