fragment 1/15/2014

I am no god, but pay a divine price
for what I learn.

I did not trade an eye
for wisdom;

Just this heart
bargained for a moment.

Listen.

Absence speaks loudest
in a quiet place
where pulse rioted hope
in a directed torrent.

About Susan L Daniels

I am a firm believer that politics are personal, that faith is expressed through action, and that life is something that must be loved and lived authentically--or why bother with any of it?

    “Just this heart” is an honest trade for wisdom. Nothing else would work. VERY nice to hear a poem from you. I’ve been wondering how/where you are. Whenever I start a new jar to ferment, I think of you. 😉
