Unbelievable eloquence from this woman. That is why they silenced her.

Pretty amazing.
I just saw her on Lawrence O’Donnell. What a fresh, angry, and needed voice.
They gotta give this lady a seat on the other side, that was brilliant, impassioned, and forceful stuff. This is what makes change, and it’s so sad that they shut her down like that. She was not doing any harm – she was saying her piece, and they just didn’t like it.
I agree–she was amazing.
We do need more of this. It’s amazing how people still think “free speech” exists. Free speech exists only if you say what they want to hear. A sad state of affairs in this imperium.
Speech is free. Free to be talked over and shut down. When she was saying “This is my government,” I was so proud of her, and at the same time very angry at the situation.
While a predominantly male legislature approves the bill! UUUUggggghhhhh
I am so mad I could spit. Anyone know if PP is planning to challenge the constitutionality of these new bills?
And so we evolve!
Yes, we do! She shines here. If we can evolve to a holy anger, maybe we can do something about this.
*looks around*
Yep, plenty of holy anger here, you can tell by the chest filling authority of your voice. Guess that means it’s happening.
Fresh, like Sarah.
Aw… You rock! Glad we’re getting to know each other. I am trying to resist writing a piece on this, but might not be able to.
…Resistance is futile…
It is–might have to include the NC insanity in this too–abortion clinic regulations attached to a motorcycle safety bill, of all things. Heh. Do potential patients need to wear helmets? Might not be a bad idea, walking into a clinic wearing one.
You know, I really am starting to believe that something larger is at work here. I am not a Polyanna about politics -I’d like to think that I know better- but I think people are really starting to see what underlays the right-wing agenda. The misogyny is out there now in plain sight and I think people really are catching on to it. The last election showed -hopefully not fleetingly- that this kind of politics is increasingly fatal for political parties. While Texas might be a little “redder” than much of the country, things are changing there too. And I think these Republicans know this and are very scared.
I think people are starting to see it, as well. I just hope they are smart enough not to vote against their own interests in the midterms. We’ll see.
So tired of it.
Me too, Nelle.
