on peepers and ice booms

Spring comes late
where the ice boom holds
bloom until April

the song starts
soft, floats to kiss night
after sun’s setting

and there, unfolds
to full cry, open throats
singing the season

Backstory on the Niagara ice boom.

About Susan L Daniels

I am a firm believer that politics are personal, that faith is expressed through action, and that life is something that must be loved and lived authentically--or why bother with any of it?
