with smoked sugar sad

minimal yet effective – most engaging 🙂
Thank you, Polly.
This is beautiful..
Thanks so much, Deana.
smoked sugar? is this what I am thinking?
I don’t think so…I am a bit of a cook, and I was thinking smoked raw sugar would be a good image for something. If it suggests to you something else, then I would love to hear it.
Wild and lovely. “dusts her heart with smoked sugar sad”. This is a powerful image to me that comes through from the inside of my chest. Very much like a New Orleans jazz club singer I remember.
Alice, thank you so much!
This is beautiful …
Thank you GS.
Nice! I like the “sugar sad” line. 🙂
Thanks, Claudia!
blues queen and smoked sugar..ha….i love it
Thanks, Claudia!
That last line is just scrumptious!
Sugar Me a Haiku!
Thanks so much, MMT. Not I have to smoke sugar (would go good on something with salted caramel, I’m thinking…)
Emotively rich and brushed with sensual tensions! Lovely!
Thank you, Gemma.
What I hear is the rich, yet smoky sweet voices of the best blues singers! Love it!
WS, thank you. I was thinking Billie Holiday or Etta James 😉
mmmmm, very vivid Susan, I can hear her sing.
Thanks, Cheryl.
uh huh. singing makes the sadness much easier to swallow You have captured the spoonful of sugar reaally well.
Thank you, Susan.
I’m hearing a Macy Gray sort of voice…
That works well here, Nelle.
Just gorgeous…so good!
Oh, thank you!
Beautifully written, Susan. ‘with smoked sugar sad’ Powerful line
Celestine, thanks!
