you take everything
five suitcases
heavy with longing
counted on fingers
that difference
lightening
translated to miles
(kilometers
where you are going)
what else is needed
as that matter of time
when you fly into it
scatters and collapses
into seconds
or is it firsts
that last step into arms
you both open
Hooray for love! Well said Susan.
Thanks, Trent. The hopeless romantic I am is quite a bit more hopeful for those two.
I think they are likely some kind of atomic pairing, one wonders how incendiary such a combination might become, but that for me is a light worth sinking in, and we need more of it. I dunno if I’m hopeless romantic (I think you have to be); but doesn’t matter in end. I just think it’s great when people find each other in this way, or any way, searching or not, dancing or not, starting from the bottom or somewhere else, coming back from something or returning from it.
Truer words never said, Trent.
Certain symmetry to that statement…
Yes.
I will try that, then. Truer Trent, also a symmetry of T’s – a perfectly symmetrical letter.
🙂
It’s a perfectly symmetrical name too.
it is, too! Enjoyed your TOLIT. What fun–thanks for the smile I needed this morning.
My pleasure. Hope you have smiles all day.
Aw! So sweet. Kisses to that baby and give your wife one, too!
I will. We are lazing around today, in the sunshine.
Best thing to do on a Sunday morning.
Susan, you have captured it and me.
This especially moves me to tears, happy ones.
I say goodbye to the past and will greet the future with these words in my heart.
Thank you, truly. It’s beautiful

Aw, shucks, sis. You know you inspire me. You both do, for having what it takes to go for it. So proud of you guys!
that means a lot, thank you. kind of proud of us too!
Sounds like fun!
I am so proud of both of them 😉
Flying across the pond to see if what started ethereally works face-to-face. My inner romantic is flipping somersaults.
I liked it a great deal.Odd question–do you have pinterest? KB
KB, no I don’t, but I am on FB–have the page on there, but you get my blog posts anyway. If you like the page, I will be glad to friend you.
Also, I joined Blog Nation, But cannot figue out how to get the badge attached. Is it the Theme template I’m using?
Not sure, K, but if you paste the HTML into a text widget, you should have the badge automatically posted to your sidebar. Was a total pain in the butt to do, if I am remembering correctly.
I did just join pinterest, but it seems I can’t post poetry to it, so not sure if I will use it much or not.
what a wonderful poem – says it all – thanks sis
My pleasure, Kyle. Had to say it.
and glad you did
