if you pay attention to small things

if you pay attention
to small things
you don’t
have to prove anything
with a grand gesture

like stopping airplanes
or even traffic

just answer my words
written in sand

before waves claim them

that’s what i want.
the small impossible things,
like how you hold this heart gently

and don’t even know
it’s in your hands

About Susan L Daniels

I am a firm believer that politics are personal, that faith is expressed through action, and that life is something that must be loved and lived authentically--or why bother with any of it?

  7. Fantastic piece, love the soft but serious emotion. And if it helps at all, I too have a love-hate relationship with Hugh Grant. I mean, how annoying can someone be and how adorable? Camoon, his dancing in Love Actually!
