if you pay attention
to small things
you don’t
have to prove anything
with a grand gesture
like stopping airplanes
or even traffic
just answer my words
written in sand
before waves claim them

oh, gosh, no–it was something that popped into my head while watching a Hugh Grant movie. I am not normally so sappy…
I wish you hadn’t told me about the Hugh Grant thing.
I know..I am ashamed to admit it–me + wine + Hugh Grant (whom I hate) + a movie full of grand gestures and no little ones…
Have you seen (500) Days of Summer? If you watch it and like it, you will have redeemed yourself in my eyes.
