Haiku Heights: Symphony

illuminating
child voices float through the hall
purer than sunlight

my daughter’s alto
a honey-dark thread woven
through the sopranos

the risers placed where
Stravinsky and Bernstein stood
crafting symphonies

About Susan L Daniels

I am a firm believer that politics are personal, that faith is expressed through action, and that life is something that must be loved and lived authentically--or why bother with any of it?

  1. Wonderful haikus Susan, I can almost hear your daughter’s voice šŸ™‚

    • Thanks, Polly–she has the voice of an angel, and this year, the all-county chorus performed at a rather famous symphony hall. They picked two to three students from each school to perform, and they did such a beautiful job. Proud of all of them.
