clouds swaddle the sky
and hide that streaking
this mind knows to be
mundane comet dust
while the soul yearns
for magic, past logic
to net & jar celestial fireflies
for a moment
flashing codes for wishes
woven between stars
& melting into
that  milky way haze
Funny thing, you probably have in fact made the journey. 🙂
missed it this year, had to watch a recording from elsewhere, but I did make it there in my imagination 🙂
you have quite an imagination :)…lovely imagery..celestial fireflies
🙂 thanks–remember that song from “Sound of Music”? These are a few of my favorite things–meteor showers, fireflies, and wishes 🙂
Nice, and even better at the second level of reading!
Thanks, Noel…Oh, my. Is Dr. F. going to find this poem interesting? 😉
I was out last night…the 11th and 12th supposedly the best nights to view…alas clouds on the one and not a sign on the other. supposed to be around until the 24th if you do get a chance.
Clouds permitting, I hope to 🙂
me too. look to the north east…or so they say. 🙂 happy viewing
🙂 you too, sis!
