impossible to believe
there are 2 of us
sharing a name
& writing poetry
in the same country
has she stumbled
across my poetry,
as I have hers
& said,
I could have written that,
if I shared that
particular kind of loss,
which I have not;
motherless
& fatherless,
yes,
but never
lost a life new
to the world:
I do not envy
that pain
still, I wonder
if we met
would our muses
tangle in confusion,
not knowing which Susan
to gift at that moment,
or would our songs twine:
a duet in twinned,
separate voices
***I found a poem online, written by another Susan Daniels, which inspired this. You should read it: It is beautiful, and so very sad.
Susan,
Thank you so much for stopping by my blog. Your poetry tugs at my heart, and the “other” Susan’s poem broke it. I am so thankful every single day for the lives of my children, I cannot imagine such pain. I look forward to visiting you regularly and appreciate your visit.
Rhonda
Thanks, Rhonda–her poem broke my heart, too–as a mom, I can’t imagine anything worse….
Nice “meeting” you today.
That is definitely reciprocated. I look forward to more of your work. It’s truly lovely.

I’d be spun out if I saw another name of mine out there – AND they were a writer. How funny this Susan Daniels also does poetry! Are you able to contact her, and share with her your poem, inspired by her? That would be cool!

I am definitely tripped out about it, but at least her poetry is very, very good. Gonna try to contact her!
Your poem is beautiful. Her poem breaks my heart with Mother’s Day just around the corner. Can you imagine how hard days like that can be for her?
Ouch–yes.
