You brought perfume
for Valentine’s day,
but it was Jovan’s
Musk for Men,
and because
it wasn’t as bad
or as permanent
as tattooing my name dark blue,
misspelled, right where your neck
fuses into your chest,
that clavicular arc
I like to kiss,
I asked you to return it.
Funny, how your misses
still strike this heart
so easily.
Sweetly done.KB
Thanks, KB. Had to share the humor of this one 😉
Been there. ~G
Thanks! Thought it was cute.
smiling BIG at this one.
Audra, thanks! Classic T move.
Smiling classic male move haa
🙂
Yes! And for some reason, I had read something about misspelled tattoos, and voila!
This was lovely !!!
Thanks, GS!
Sweet and soft.
Thanks, Shrinks. I had to share this one eventually…
not as bad
or as permanent
as tattooing my name dark blue,
misspelled, right where your neck
fuses into your chest…that is FANTASTIC…ha…great he only bought men’s perfume…you have to set it into relation…right..? ha..
Yes, that was what made it so funny/sweet. Glad you liked it.
Okay. I made him return the leaf blower. This tattoo you write flashed me to the pictures that went with Broadblogs’ women’s day post.
That was part of the inspiration. The other part was seeing some pics of people with tattoos that were misspelled 😉
If you go to all the trouble ot get a tattoo, you’d think a spell check was in order. L-O-V-E and H-A-A-T? 😉
LOL, yep.
Yes, sometimes “it’s the thought that counts” doesn’t quite make it right… 😉 Love the small details of this and the warmth. There’s a smile in the words.
Holly, quite right, and smiling as I read your comment, too!
I love this Susan. So precise! It evokes years of a relationship from one small act.
Steven, it does–8 of those years, to be exact. And, it works…
That’s really touching, Susan
Thanks, Duncan!
Have to say that I’m with you on his choice. Really not a good one. Doing his best though.
Absolutely, and nothing permanent 😉
Yeah, not a big fan of tats to be honest. Especially on women. There’s a guy where I live with t spiderweb up his neck and LHS of his face. Yikes.
Yes–not really my thing, either. Nothing prettier that unmarked skin on men (or women), but that’s my preference.
Just occasionally I see women with tats and think, ‘Yup. That works.’ But more often I think ‘Oh dear.’
With you on that, Duncan!
I’ll see you the musk and raise with essence of whale barf.
Oh! I remember that post! Ambergris? Am I spelling it right?
