there are four patron saints of poetry
and none of them mine
which makes it less religion
and more direct relationship to what’s divine
without intercessors or intermediaries
I get my calling from the mouth of G-d unfiltered
and always, unending worship that can’t be separated easily
into 9s.
***OK–no smoking or drinking here, but I will credit Soraya anyway…
That was quick. π I like it.
“more direct relationship to whatβs divine”
great line.
Thanks, Nick One of those strange intracranial blips you need to write down right away π
That’s the story of my life right there.:)
Understood, and I certainly appreciate the results of it.
Haha! Well, I feel awful now with all my vices and sinning… You worked extremely fast here, but it doesn’t take away from the quality of the piece. π
Just had to catch the thought while it was there π
Oh, what fun would life be without vices and sinning? Not much, I tell ya!
Happy New Year π
Thanks, Green, you too!
So how did that take you? Please say at least 30 minutes…please??? π
Nah–you don’t want to know. π happy new year!
I am not a poet – muses dwell inside my head and whispers words I cannot dispel
that I must then crayon scribble on the walls and table the best that I am able
these words are not mine they just wriggle free from every opening as living poetry.
Have a Happy New Year – may the words keep dancing to the beat of your pen
Nice lines, Stephen. Happy new year!
This is cute and superb.
Aw, thank you C!
