I am tired
of apocalypse
& just want to
hold us tight
until it’s not my mine
or your yours
anymore
but just another
sort of ending

That’s the problem with long range plans and poetry. Sometimes you should wait until the poems have already been written and fall into place by themselves.>KB
LOL, true. We can call this my temper tantrum.
romantic apocalypse?
LOL, yep.
The end is nigh! The relief is palpable 😉
LOL, yes!!!! Commenting on the other when I get back from giving my neighbor a lift.
Excellent!
Thank you!
I have just started to look at your page (from RoS’s page I found yours.) … I have read the other’s comments … so I think I am missing some history and should take a look at the previous Apocalypse writings … for this to me seems sad when I read it.
Though … I think it is wonderfully beautiful. (I do not know much of poetry I am afraid though….but I am trying to learn.)
Katie–thank you–yes, this was a “tired” poem today, but if you look on my menu, I just put all of the apocalypse poems there, on one page 🙂
Nods….I have read them all nod nod….and noticed that I can only respond to the latest. I liked the 1st one…and the one about the shelters and bullets … and …actually … I like them all.
Katie–thank you! Also wanted to say that it really doesn’t matter if you know much about poetry–you can enjoy it. That’s how I am with art…
Life can work this way. A song it inspires, wishing to close out my night.

Thanks, Nelle 😉 I shall close out my night with it too.
I like it. I’m wondering – do you have a particular method with your poetry? Like iambic pentameter or whatever the hell that stuff is? Or is this free verse? I have an MA in English and yes, I know squat about poetry. I’m just curious.
Alica–
I am a free verse person, although I do sometimes stray into the discipline of haiku and sometimes (oh, Lord, yes) sometimes I do metered/rhymed poetry, but just as a challenge to myself to see if I can–those are exercises for he most part, and could not see myself doing it all the time. HELL, no 😉
As far as having a method with my poetry–I have to say I think it more has a method with me.
rending endings!
🙂
yes. Oh, I do so like the sound (if not the fact) of those 2 words…
Totally understand ! Love it
Thank you sis!
And what a beautiful and sublime way to go, in each other.s arms.
Celestine, thank you!
