I am a firm believer that politics are personal, that faith is expressed through action, and that life is something that must be loved and lived authentically--or why bother with any of it?
Yes, Susan, it rocks. And sometimes, the sting of the last kiss burns forever, no matter how much you want it off.. Very powerful lines. The blog background is so cool. Loves the Header, is that you or your daughter?
It needs to be so at times, doesn’t it. A cleansing process. A purifying. Before moving on.
Yes. Absolutely.
The last kiss … stinging … wow, that was powerfully revengeful !!!
Thanks–I was going for that… 😉
Hmmm!
dead trails in lairs curled
cold lifeless
and better left so!
Oh yes–this was something odd that popped into my head today. No hunting and no wiping off kisses, either–the mind is an odd thing sometimes.
I can so relate to this, time for something new to kill all the tracks of hunting ex’s for me
Hmmm–like the comment, Bruce! I still have no clue where these lines came from today, they are months late 😉
Felt this..that sting of heart and lips..perfect.
Oh, thank you–glad it resonated.
no they arrived precisely on time 😀 I still think these thinks after years esp this year
That’s the way you do it…
😉 thanks, Seb.
I love this! Simple and delicate with maximum oomph! I also really love the 3 line/2 verse format. Inspiring.
Thanks, Soraya–glad you liked. No idea where this came from, but I like it myself 😉
alot of emotion packed in these words.. written by a strong woman with a powerful pen
Oh, thank you! Again, not feeling particularly emotional today, so have no idea where this came from 😉
either way..it is great. Kinda kick ass attitude ya know? I dig it
🙂 thanks! Yep, kicking ass and taking names…a few months ago, maybe. Must be a delayed reaction.
Love it. But I totally want more.
Trent–thanks so much! Nope, that’s all you get of the bitter, vengeful me–should have had all of this out of my system a few months ago 😉
Susan, I think I quite like the bitter vengeful you.
Awww, how can I stay bitter & vengeful when comments like that make me smile?
You are too sweet Susan. Will have to settle for what angst you can muster. Something a bit primal about it.
Hee hee–I have my primal side, for sure. Fortunately, it does not stick around long…
I know what you mean. I like to drown my primal side in a half bottle of rye. Wait – do you guys have rye down there? Pity if not!
Oh, we have it. However, it makes me queasy, so I have to appease mine with chocolate, which does not work as well.
Maybe not, but that sounds much more sensible than my approach.
Powerful!
Julie–thank you! I am learning from my friend George you can pack a punch into very few words…
Scrub it so hard
Till blood oozes out
Fuck , a scar!
Still reminds me of you…
Oooh–I am becoming addicted to poetic responses. This one rocks, C.
Yes, Susan, it rocks. And sometimes, the sting of the last kiss burns forever, no matter how much you want it off.. Very powerful lines. The blog background is so cool. Loves the Header, is that you or your daughter?
Thanks, Celestine–yes, hard to rub that off. That would be my daughter, Zoe 😉 Glad you like!
I have the image of a knight in a medieval forest.
This is “the quest” redefined.
wow–that works well here. Still really do not know why I wrote this, months later…probably part of that healing process.
