Great one Susan, it.s so cool to write about our Galaxy. I contributed this prompt to HH, but I had some difficulties to write about our Milky Way.
π I was going to write about the candy bar by the same name, but decided to behave.
would have loved to read about the candy bar too!!
π might do that yet!
Nice take to point to the stars.
Thanks, Susan. Tough prompt.
galaxy stars… holding everything. beautiful capture in so few words
thanks much–your post made me hungry π
Isn’t it so very beautiful..I love it…
Thanks, Ramesh.
The last line was too good π
Aw, thanks!
I love how you started with the immense vastness and ended with the simplicity of yourself counting stars. Well done!
Kathy–thank you. Thinking about it–I guess I kind of moved backwards π
I like the last line a lot. It plays perfectly in contrast with the immensity of the galaxy.
oh, thank you Patti.
simple and sweet π

Very nice haiku, I like it a lot. The last line is my favourite too.
thanks Ellecee!
I love how you pulled it together in the last line. Very original take!
Thank you, Barbara!
I like the way you personalise this – the last line makes the whole haiku work.
Thanks, Matthew!
I like that last line too ~ Lovely haiku ~
Thanks, Grace!
Ho beloved is our home galaxy. Liked the belongingness π
Here’s one I wrote on the Milky Way bar after reading your comment π
teeth bite into bar
morsels of tingling star bursts
tastebud overdrive
π
Love it!
nicel little contrast with this. it certainly is nice to count when you have a good idea how they got there. if you catch my angle on that.
wow–your comment is deeper than my 17 syllables above. Love it!
I tried to say smthing abt the galaxy…
Bt failed…

Loved the direction … amazing how the placement of the lines sets it off. Nicely done!
September Heights – Milky Way’s Breadth
thank you, Becca!
And what if you could number the stars beyond our galaxy?
Milky Way
π I was going for the ones I could see without a telescope. Wow–what a wonderful thought!
