when to listen

when I speak smoothly

and bring you
armfuls
of smiling word bouquets

what I say
is not as important

as what the spaces
between words
tell you

when I stammer

    Sometimes the stammering can awaken the other party to pay closer attention but, I understand the fear & trembling to speak out.

    I like that space between words, I even like that we don’t even need words to express the deepest part of ourselves. Thanks for this!
