I want multifaceted insect vision
the world dancing
in hundreds of frames
fusing into what kind
of picture
in a mind
that is more ganglion
than anything
or, I want to turn my head
180 degrees, owl-like and feathered
to see where I have been
or what’s chasing me
clearly, kind of a facing down
while running away
but neither option
is available.
For whatever reason
we see weakly
and not behind us,
always forward
in a strange
biological confidence
How true…for good and for bad, methinks. Good one.
Thanks, Nelle–yes, I want foresight and hindsight
reviewing the past, contemplating the future and wondering….!
exactly….you so get me 🙂
interesting muse today 🙂
LOL, yes–rough day 🙂 but productive on so very many levels…
The past imperfect…the present non-continuous and the future present……and here I take liberties with tense and aspect in English! Incidentally, the words of Oogway are very apposite here – “You are too concerned with what was and what will be. There’s a saying: “Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift. That is why it is called the present.” Du courage. Tu t’en sortiras!
Thank you so much, Noel–Et, oui–je vais m’en sortire
Oh my goodness, is the French corner of my brain awakening?
…by the way, I LOVE KUNG-FU PANDA and I am not afraid to shout it 🙂
You, woman are fantastic!
Mari–coming from you, that means so much–you whose words I read and sigh to myself, under my breath–damn, she’s so GOOD…. Magical…. I could go on with several more descriptors, but am supposed to be working, so will stop there 🙂 So–thanks so much!
oh WOW . . you sigh at my words! How amazing coming from you, this utter brilliance soft speaking to m heart. Always your words touch me so kindly. Goodness thank you, don’t work too hard! hugs!
Wow–you are most welcome–and please stop there, or my head will fill like a hot air balloon, floating me with it who knows where 🙂 –I think I just found an image for later…. Right there
hehe – too sweet you!
Intellectually sensitive~ I believe we need to practice this more! Great lesson!~Deb
