if we are one
like we said we were
& yearn to be
still
then come
without bitterness
& I will abandon blame
& we will fuse
this broken thing
we are
into wholeness
together
if we are one
like we said we were
& yearn to be
still
then come
without bitterness
& I will abandon blame
& we will fuse
this broken thing
we are
into wholeness
together
there is a big IF, a big IF….there is also the assumption that the other party must feel the same we do and stil yearns for the things we yearn for……an IF and assumption that often set us up for frustrations and further pain! and you communicate this hope so wonderfully, so delicately, so hopefully!
Thanks, Noel–yes, a little word with huge meaning behind it 🙂
from a relationship standpoint is all about working through it. but from the muse standpoint, i’d say it’s also about the muse making the writer stronger and being able to steer away from bitterness. that’s the way i see it. and this is very nice.
thank you Don 🙂
Hopefully in both life and poetry, we can steer away from bitterness.
I love the lines:
“without bitterness/& I will abandon blame”
thank you.
Hope! Such a big little word. 🙂 lovely as usual
Aw, thanks. It’s the little words that get me in trouble.
