Me loves mucho mucho
. You are on a roll Susan
Thank you–I literally made this yesterday–nothing like all those peppers boiled in vinegar and sugar to clear your sinuses when you are standing over the pot
Ouch! Do you literally put this on a roll, Susan?
Oh, yes–it is lovely spread over something bland, like a mild, soft cheese on something veggie (celery sticks) or toast
I love hot & sweet together…
…but a little can go a very long way. Also use it in glazes where I want a hint of heat.
Mmmmm … so do I … drooling now! heh-heh
Sounds appetizing, but not my kind of jam … nice haiku Susan
Thank you
A little spicy on its own, for sure.
Nice take I haven’t even posted mine yet – was lost in thought
Good place to be lost, though. Thanks, Bruce.
Pepper jam … wow !!!
Oh, I love it
Great take on the prompt… Can you write the recipe in three lines?
chop hot peppers fine
boil with cider vinegar
and lots of sugar
***look at that–I DID!
Ooooh! You’re a little minx, aren’t you… Another piece where I love the juxtaposition of two images. Someone’s in the mood!
Would you believe me if I said I was just talking about jam? hee hee–I wouldn’t believe me either…
OK, I apologize… They do say it’s the mind it goes into though! You made jam sound sexual, go you!
well–perhaps I meant both–just not at the same time–hot peppers and delicate areas do NOT go together well
dig that hot little number!!
Why thank you–I am a little flushed, but not sure if it is from the heat or from the heat…
Love this haiku. Spicy indeed.
Oh Elle–thank you!
Oh, I’m jealous. I love pepper jam, smeared on a cracker with cream cheese. Yum!
one of my favorites–second best would be cider-sage, but no kick there
Deliciously lovely. I like the second line.
Hazel, thank you.
Sweet heat… sounds good.
Love my sweet with a kick.
I like to have a bit of that pepper jam ~ Nice one Susan ~
thanks, Grace. Ten jars should last all year–but I do love it.
Wow! Ouch! Drool
Thanks, Jolly. I love hot & spicy, when done right
What a hot take on the prompt. Well done.
Thanks, C. Had to share the love
Never heard of pepper jam… sounds good
Oh, it’s yummy! It is what I do with hot peppers after I have frozen and pickled them until I can’t bear the thought of yet more fermentation and freezing
*hic*
too spicy for me, even though I love spicy food
I am still snickering over here! I really enjoy your comments.
My husband loves to make hot-pepper jelly. His favorite is Habanero Gold.
Yummy!
“sweet simmered into heat”
What a luscious string of words!
Pepper Tree
Oh, thanks so very much!
Hmmmm..
delightful!!!
Thanks, Jane!
