1. It is one of my favorite songs. Such a beautiful, haunting melody. Sadly a teenage boy played this song on his guitar and sang at the funeral of his mother – she cut my family’s hair for years. For a long time I couldn’t hear it without tears.

2. Who sang it originally?

   • Believe it was Rufus. Don’t think he sang it as a cover.

           • OK, found a great version by Cohen…so much more depth, but you are right–that voice gets some getting used to.

             • Try his song “Closing Time”, it’s one where his voice is ok. Great lyrics.
